After a nearly four month hiatus, Vaughn is very pleased to announce that FJO IS BACK!
***Jun 16, 7:30 PM - OPENING NIGHT! ***
Thanks to the generosity of Boulevard Presbyterian Church in Grandview Heights, FJO is officially resuming regular Monday nights!
The Church is situated at the corner of Northwest Boulevard and 2nd Ave. in Grandview. The address is 1235 Northwest Blvd., Columbus, 43212.
Admission charge will continue to be $15 for adults, $10 for students.
The only significant difference from past practice is that no alcohol will be permitted on the premises. But Iām pretty sure the band will sound just as good! Also, if you want to eat, bring your own food for now. With a little luck, we can get a concession started without too much delay.
There are several parking options. The main parking lot is located off West 2nd Ave, across the street from the church -- it has two sections. There are also parallel parking spaces on 2nd Ave right in front of the church, some of which are Handicap spots. Parking is also available along Northwest Blvd., West 2nd Ave., and Hope Ave, as well as the gravel lot on the southeast corner of Northwest Blvd. and 3rd Ave, a long block away. If you stray a couple blocks to the West on 2nd Ave you will notice signs indicating permit-only parking for residents -- be careful not to park there. This will all take a bit of getting used to, but there should be ample parking in the near vicinity of the church. Consider arriving a bit early for the first couple of weeks until you get used to the new routine.
FJO will play in Fellowship Hall below the sanctuary. Enter through the wooden doors on 2nd Ave and go down the stairs. If you need the elevator, use the wheelchair ramp to enter the building, and go all the way across the lounge to the elevator and take it down. The seating capacity at the church is similar to the Clintonville Woman's club.
As an added bonus for the inaugural performance at Boulevard Presbyterian, FJO is pleased welcome one of our favorite vocalists, Rachel Sepulveda.
We look forward to seeing you all at our new location!
