All are invited to the 10th Annual Mark Flugge Jazz Pianist Tribute Concert on Monday, June 10th.

Hosted by Vaughn Wiester’s Famous Jazz Orchestra at the Clintonville Woman’s Club this year, the concert features the premiere of Lucas Holmes' new FJO arrangement of Mark’s “Truth”, with Lucas at the piano, and Lisa Jelle on flute.  Lisa Clark will sing several pieces with the FJO, and Daniel Johnson-Brewer will be featured as a soloist and recognized as the 2024 Winner of the Capital University Conservatory of Music’s Mark Flugge Outstanding Jazz Award.  Michael Cox will be featured in his arrangement of Mark’s piece “Familiarity”.

The Famous Jazz Orchestra will perform several commissioned arrangements of Mark's pieces by Bob Larson and other talented arrangers!  We will also honor Mark’s parents Nadine and Tadd as this evening is their 73rd Wedding Anniversary!

$15 admission, $10 with student ID.  A free Mark Flugge-related CD is available to everyone who attends; absolutely no donation required (but welcomed if you would like to contribute to the Mark Flugge Memorial Fund).  This will be a wonderful concert celebrating Mark’s musical, educational, and personal legacy, and all are welcome.

Please share the date, and we hope to see you there!
