Vaughn Wiester’s Famous Jazz Orchestra is a 22-piece big band featuring many of the top players in central Ohio. The ever-changing FJO set list draws from the repertoires of the greatest bands of the 1950’s, including Count Basie, Woody Herman and Stan Kenton. Led by the inimitable trombonist Vaughn Wiester, a veteran of the Woody Herman band and the Columbus Jazz Orchestra, FJO has been performing on a weekly basis in Columbus since 1997. Starting June 16th, 2025, the band will be performing on most Monday nights at its new home at Boulevard Presbyterian Church in Grandview Heights, OH.
